[2023/03/08 15:38] Alicia Frakture: Leesha nods."Impressive well with such a big army you might want to go patrol so I can fix things without someone accidentally burning the place down. I want to fix it right.

[2023/03/08 15:41] Alicia Frakture: Armies go on patrol, and if you all patrol in here while I am fixing things there might be a fire and you lose this great place.
[2023/03/08 15:42] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Oh!" "Yes, good point! See? You stupid!" "Oh! Me forget." They walk out of the building.
[2023/03/08 15:43] Sonja Bikergrrl: The woman with you just shakes her head in disbelief
[2023/03/08 15:43] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben watches to see if her cooking oil based trap manages to disrupt the goblins, popping out to startle them once they come out.
[2023/03/08 15:43] Alicia Frakture: Leesha steps to the kitchen and pauses."Wait was that their entire army?"
[2023/03/08 15:44] Sonja Bikergrrl: They stumble a little and push and shove each other, blaming each other for "tripping"
[2023/03/08 15:45] Sonja Bikergrrl: That was all who were in that room, certainly
[2023/03/08 15:45] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: How many goblins is it? Like, three or so?
[2023/03/08 15:46] Sonja Bikergrrl: Three, yes.
[2023/03/08 15:46] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben stands up, and points to taunt them, backing up as she does so with spear ready. "Stumbling scouts, you look like you're falling over with drunkenness!"

[2023/03/08 15:47] Alicia Frakture: Leesha is gonna head to the over the kitchen to look and see if there are like other doors that may lead to more goblins

[2023/03/08 15:50] Sonja Bikergrrl: okay... the two events occur at once... Leesha gets just enough time to see the room was a guardroom once, just as Debben enrages the creatures, who jump up and down cursing and pushing each other and then charging to attack. "They dwarf! They enemy!" "They die!" "Attack!"
[2023/03/08 15:50] Sonja Bikergrrl: you'll get the first attack round....
[2023/03/08 15:51] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben chucks a stone at the slowest moving one and then backs up to make the goblins have to give chase across oil and around an illusory pit trap.

[2023/03/08 15:54] Sonja Bikergrrl: the creatures will get to you first; they're roughly ten feet away, Leesha is about twice that away
[2023/03/08 15:54] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: (( Because to my imagination, Leesh yanking me in requires running -through- the goblins ))
[2023/03/08 15:54] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: (( Which doesn't make sense to attempt in the first place, so I presume Leesha is imagining a different layout ))

[2023/03/08 15:55] Sonja Bikergrrl: Two of the creatures run forwards, stumbling and then suddenly diving to the ground as if falling down a deep shaft, and thump to the ground and groan, writhe, and then lie very very still. The third one staggers past them and looks round... "Hey Hey! What you doing?!"
[2023/03/08 15:56] Sonja Bikergrrl: Leesha went IN the building, you were outside, and the creatures were leaving when you taunted 'em (hence the facepalm, they were leaving :P)
[2023/03/08 15:57] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: (( Right, leaving the building and thus entering the planned bombardment zone? ))
[2023/03/08 15:57] Sonja Bikergrrl: The woman with you takes a swing at the distracted creature and the sword slices right into its' side, knocking it to one side. It goes down screaming and spraying a welter of blood!
[2023/03/08 15:59] Sonja Bikergrrl: Now what?
[2023/03/08 16:00] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben charges up to get a confirmatory stab on one of the fallen goblins on the ground. If they aren't moving, she'll aim for anything that looks vital.
[2023/03/08 16:00] Alicia Frakture: Leesha is still inside but she has her wrench at the ready and just stands ready.
[2023/03/08 16:01] Sonja Bikergrrl: The creatures don't react - they're completely lifeless.
[2023/03/08 16:03] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Curious..... Debben moves to inspect the last one, attempting to determine what exactly happened to them. Not what she was expecting....
[2023/03/08 16:03] Sonja Bikergrrl: What were you expecting?
[2023/03/08 16:04] Sonja Bikergrrl: you inspect them, they appear uninjured, albeit quite dead.
[2023/03/08 16:06] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at them"I didn't do that."
[2023/03/08 16:07] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "It's like they fell down an actual pit," she comments, "Actually, no. Like they died of fright. Or like puppets with their strings cut."

[2023/03/08 16:08] Sonja Bikergrrl: The woman with you gives the nearest one a kick. "You made them believe they fell down a deep hole... now they believe they're dead."
[2023/03/08 16:08] Alicia Frakture: Leesha shrugs and goes to look around in case there are any more...armies close by.
[2023/03/08 16:08] Sonja Bikergrrl: Illusions can have all sorts of effects, depending on various factors.
[2023/03/08 16:08] Sonja Bikergrrl: Other than the doors at the opposite side of the wall from the entrance, nothing much else to see
[2023/03/08 16:10] Alicia Frakture: Gonna head back to the kitchen area / guard room and searches around
[2023/03/08 16:10] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Impressed by the power she's displayed to these goblins, she checks them for anything valuable (probably just sharp metal she can throw) and then heads in to link up with Leesha.
[2023/03/08 16:11] Sonja Bikergrrl: Other than broken furniture, rotten cardboard and bits of twine, the shop has little of interest. The just-cleared guard room has an old weapon rack and old staffs propped up in them
[2023/03/08 16:12] Sonja Bikergrrl: Debben finds a crude stone knife, three crude spears, seven copper coins, a radish, a brush with few remaining bristles, and a hanky... which has been liberally used.
[2023/03/08 16:12] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: She'll grab the knife and copper, leaving the rest for now. Debben heads in and inspects the staffs and weapons more closely, do any of them seem to be sturdy enough for fighting or casting with ?

[2023/03/08 16:13] Alicia Frakture: Say isnt this the place we were supposed to go and find pies and a recipe?
[2023/03/08 16:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: Appraising works for gems and jewelry; for weapons, less so, but these staffs are obviously quite rotten and useless even as firewood
[2023/03/08 16:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: That is your stated goal here!
[2023/03/08 16:15] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Ugh. They've taken such a healthy store and left everything to rot and decay," Debben mentions with a scathing tone. How many rooms and doors do there seem to be in this building?
[2023/03/08 16:16] Alicia Frakture: Leesha is going to start looking, thinking any pies here must be rotten or gone, pausing to point to the two doors."You're looking at them."
[2023/03/08 16:16] Sonja Bikergrrl: It seems to be a moderately sized farmhouse, converted to a shop/bakery. There could be a few more rooms, possibly even a second floor
[2023/03/08 16:20] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "If there's something like a recipe, it's probably upstairs," she comments, giving one more check over the kitchen-like area for anything hidden.

[2023/03/08 16:23] Sonja Bikergrrl: You search the room for anything hidden. You find no hidden items.
[2023/03/08 16:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: A search of the room reveal only the doors in, the doors either side to the office and guard room, and the doors (closed) opposite the door in. There don't appear to be stairs....
[2023/03/08 16:24] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: That leaves the back door to start inspecting and listening at.
[2023/03/08 16:25] Sonja Bikergrrl: The door makes no noises, that you can detect, anyway
[2023/03/08 16:26] Alicia Frakture: Leesha will follow Debben."Those goblins mentioned someone who was going to be annoyed, what was their name again?"
[2023/03/08 16:26] Sonja Bikergrrl: As far as you remember that was Grishnak, or something
[2023/03/08 16:27] Alicia Frakture: Leesha remembers the name whether she remembers correctly or not."Hey we gotta be careful there is some one who is in charge of those goblins."
[2023/03/08 16:28] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Check inside once I open this," Debben says. "Grishnak can suck it, far as I'm concerned." Once everyone is ready, she'll open the door such that it covers her and let Leesha take point again.
[2023/03/08 16:29] Sonja Bikergrrl: The wooden door opens into a room with bare stone floors and plain walls. An empty wagon stands abandoned in the room, gathering dust. You can see, within the bakery, packing and shipping pallets that stand ready to be loaded onto the wagon. As you watch, a patrol of two creatures walks by, oblivious.

[2023/03/08 16:30] Alicia Frakture: Leesha nods before silently moving to check inside. Moving as quietly as possible
[2023/03/08 16:30] Sonja Bikergrrl: they're the same creatures as the others.
[2023/03/08 16:30] Sonja Bikergrrl: (I've never said they were goblins, btw...)

[2023/03/08 16:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: The two patrolling creatures wander out of sight. Other than the ruined cart and the rotting pallets and old boxes... there's not a huge amount to see, other than a doorway to what looks like a big kitchen

[2023/03/08 16:33] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben moves to sneak their way up to the wagon, and then onwards to the kitchen, unless there's a good chance to get the drop on a patrolling being.

[2023/03/08 16:35] Sonja Bikergrrl: And you look in on a large kitchen... there's a lot of mess, ovens that need cleaning, sacks of rotting ingredients... and it looks like someone clueless has been trying to bake pies...

[2023/03/08 16:36] Sonja Bikergrrl: (You're in a combat situation, you can't accurately identify what they are, only that they are small green humanoids - but so are other things! While you may be correct, you can't know that for a fact without looking them over - which will surely attract their attention.)
[2023/03/08 16:37] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben nods back and sneaks ahead, trying to search the kitchen and being on alert for anyone in there.

If asked to get the BMW Series 1, I wouldn't have a clue what that is, I need the registration tag and I got to search... not ALL of them, but I still have fifty cars that it COULD be)

[2023/03/08 16:43] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: What crimes against baking are in the ovens?
[2023/03/08 16:44] Sonja Bikergrrl: "I found half of the tract. It seems to have got a little torn up. I'm sure the other half is here and it can be put together again."
[2023/03/08 16:44] Sonja Bikergrrl: Looking in the oven - you see piles of what might be attempts at pies, some too thick, some very watery. It's as if they know what pies are, but not how they're made.
[2023/03/08 16:46] Alicia Frakture: Well let's look for it, I just hope your tract and the recipe are the same thing.
[2023/03/08 16:46] Alicia Frakture: *How many doors in this room?*
[2023/03/08 16:46] Sonja Bikergrrl: The doors you came by, and stairs up... and at the doors you came in by, there are three creatures coming! "Hey! You! You here make pies?"
[2023/03/08 16:47] Sonja Bikergrrl: And yes... tonights' cliffhanger really is an enquiry about pie making... I just spotted the time, long past bedtime!
